Truck Driver Training

Take the first step by submitting an application.
The Truck Driver Training registration will be provided once the application has been approved.

Once all of your application requirements have been received, you will receive an email that will include both a PDF attachment and a link. Using one of these methods, you will need to register for your class and pay your tuition and fees. Once you are registered, you will receive an email with directions on how to purchase your books.

Class A Commercial Learner Permit

To obtain a copy of your current Class A Commercial Learner Permit, contact your local Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) office. The application fee is $51.50 and the permit fee is $25.50.

DOT Medical Card (Form 5876)

Schedule your DOT physical at any Urgent Care Clinic (Ex: CVS, Walgreens or Fast Med).

The cost can range from $100 to $150.

You must have a Negative DOT Drug Test Result from an accredited DOT drug testing facility, dated within one month of the first day of your class.

We recommend D.S.P.S. at 1329 Brightleaf Blvd in Smithfield, NC.

The cost can range from $40 to $90. A Positive DOT Drug and/or Alcohol Result or Refusal to take a Chemical Test will result in your immediate dismissal with no tuition refund.

You do not have to submit your NC Driving Record as one of the application requirements; however, you may have to meet this requirement for employment. Please be aware that some of the records that could prohibit you being hired are Driving while impaired (DWI), Careless and reckless driving, Hit and run, and/or Refusal to take a chemical test.
